The retail industry is only just taking advantage of mobile technology, but technology is moving on, fast. Retail technologists are now turning their heads to wearable devices – Google Glass, iWatch and Oculus Rift amongst the post-mobile contenders.
Wearable devices – in particular Google Glass and other optical devices can allow retails to interact with customers, online, in real time, as they browse stores or even view products and adverts on the street and in their own homes, the possibilities for advertising, customer engagement and revenue sources are truly endless.
